Video tutorial for allSnap 1.4
|
Review
This review applies to version 1.3
The latest version of this software will soon be reviewed by our
informers.
allSnap 1.33.2 is a small system tray app that makes all top level windows automatically align.
This is the same feature that you probably saw in applications like Winamp or Photoshop.
Once that the application is installed and run, every window will snap to each other and the desktop while moving/sizing. This behavior can be suppressed by holding down the ALT key while sizing/moving.
There are lots of settings that can be modified by clicking on the small icon on the system tray.
This program uses Windows´ Hooking, a technique that Microsoft suggest to use only in debugging because it can interfere with any other program on your system.
This version doesn´t work on 64bit Windows, but there is a 64bit version available, that will only work on native 64bit programs.
In the web site you can see a video that will illustrate the behavior of the program graphically.
allSnap will not function on floating toolbars, programs with their own moving/sizing behavior (as Winamp), Office 2007 or Windows command prompt window. |
- It´s a simple utility that perform its job silently.
|
- I don´t think that aligning top level windows is useful.
